"My" Little World Preschool & Childcare, Brighton, Colorado, addresses the whole child through intregrated age-appropriate learing and play activities.

“My” Little World Preschool & Childcare believes in addressing the whole child through an integrated approach, encompassing all key aspects of early childhood development.

Language & Communication Skills

Good communication involves not only language, but an intricately woven skillset consisting of social, cognitive, and emotional skills. Age-appropriate learning activities to develop a child’s ability to communicate are critical to your child’s ability to communicate his or her needs, interact with others, grow, and succeed in life.

Cognitive Learning

Cognitive abilities are the brain-based skills we need to carry out any task from the simplest to the most complex. Targeted age-appropriate activites which promote observational and experiential learning during the early years of childhood development are critical to the development of these skills.

Social Skills

Social skills are extremely critical to a child’s ability to successfully interact and communicate with others. Social rules and relations are created, communicated, and changed in verbal and nonverbal ways. An environment that facilitiates the development of greater socialization skills through age-appropriate learning activities will help your child establish his or her social footing and form a greater self confidence.

Creativity isn’t taught, it is an expansion of what already exists. Exploring one’s creativity can influence and affect all aspects of a child’s development from fine and gross motor skills, to social and communication skills. Age-appropriate activities which encourage your child’s own imagination and creative instincts are necessary to help his or her cognitive processes in order to develop independent logic and reasoning, higher self-confidence, and greater overall aptitude.

Physical Skills

Your child’s physical growth and development is just as important as his or her mental growth. Gross and Fine Motor Skills are critical elements in your child’s overall health and development. Age-appropriate activities designed to build core strength, balance, movement and coordination help establish a healthy body as your child matures, and a stronger foundation for mental and emotional engagement.
